George's story

George joins LCE Academy as Deputy SENDCo, bringing extensive mainstream teaching experience alongside specialist SEND knowledge to the school.

A highly experienced history teacher, George has enjoyed a successful and distinguished career in mainstream education during which he has developed a deep understanding of effective teaching, curriculum delivery and individual pupil support. As a qualified SENDCo, he possesses the specialist knowledge required to ensure pupils with additional needs receive appropriately personalised and strategically coordinated support.

George is particularly passionate about relational approaches to education. He believes that pupils achieve their best outcomes when they feel safe, understood and appropriately challenged by the adults around them.

At LCE Academy, George will help ensure our learning environment remains supportive, aspirational and responsive to individual need.
