Ben's story
Ben joins LCE Academy with an inspiring personal journey that enables him to authentically demonstrate to pupils that there are many different pathways towards future success.
Having excelled academically at school despite experiencing his own barriers to learning, Ben transitioned successfully into employment by securing an apprenticeship within barbering. He subsequently developed an accomplished career within the industry, demonstrating the value of vocational education, practical skills and professional ambition.
A passionate advocate for lifelong learning, Ben later made the decision to retrain and enter education.
His lived experience provides him with a powerful ability to relate to young people who may be uncertain about their own educational or professional futures.
