SEND & the Curriculum

SEND support is embedded within our tiered curriculum model to ensure learning is accessible, flexible and responsive. Curriculum pathways are adapted to meet individual needs, and pupils may access different tiers at different times depending on readiness and progress.

Accreditation routes are selected to reflect pupils’ strengths and aspirations, and assistive technology is used where appropriate to remove barriers to learning. Our aim is for pupils to make meaningful progress academically, socially and emotionally.

Monitoring Progress

Progress for pupils with SEND is monitored across academic learning, personal development, emotional regulation and readiness for next steps. Regular review ensures provision remains effective and informs future planning and support.

Accessibility and Inclusion

We are committed to inclusion and equality of opportunity. Reasonable adjustments are made to teaching and learning, routines and environments, and communication and support strategies. Our provision is inclusive and welcoming, enabling all pupils to access learning and feel valued.
