Qualifications, Outcomes &
Progression Pathways
Core Principle
Our Core Approach & Qualification Routes
At LCE Academy, success is defined broadly and meaningfully. While academic qualifications are important for some pupils, they are not the sole measure of progress. Given the Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) profile of our cohort, the school prioritises:
Regulation & Emotional Wellbeing
Social, relational, and employability skills

At LCE Academy, success is defined broadly and meaningfully. While academic qualifications are important for some pupils, they are not the sole measure of progress. Given the Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) profile of our cohort, the school prioritises:
Regulation & Emotional Wellbeing
Builds the essential resilience and self-management skills students need to navigate life's challenges and succeed in their chosen pathways.
Social, Relational & Employability skills
Empowers students with the vital independence, decision-making, and self-management skills needed to transition confidently into adult life and the wider community.
Preparation For Adulthood
Automated water management based on real-time soil moisture mapping and weather forecasts.
Employability & Contribution to Society (CEIAG)
Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) plays a central role in preparing pupils to become positive contributors to society and to progress into employment, training, or further education.
In an SEMH context, CEIAG is explicitly aligned with pupils’ developmental readiness, recognising that employability is built through regulation, relationships, and responsibility before it is demonstrated through qualifications.

Qualification Routes
Where appropriate, pupils may access tailored, flexible qualification pathways including:
- GCSE subjects
- Functional Skills qualifications
- AQA Unit Awards
- ASDAN and equivalent accredited programmes
These routes are intentionally structured to allow for small-step success, consistent recognition of progress, and sustained motivation through highly achievable accreditation.
