Our curriculum places strong emphasis on the safe, responsible, and purposeful use of technology. Pupils are guided to understand online safety, digital etiquette, and the ethical use of digital resources, fostering confidence in managing both personal and academic technology tasks. Functional ICT skills are developed through practical, real-life applications, including word processing, data handling, communication tools, and digital research, supporting pupils’ independence and readiness for further study or work.

Where appropriate, pupils are supported to follow accredited pathways including Functional Skills and vocational digital qualifications, ensuring that progression is carefully matched to readiness and long-term goals. Assistive technology is integrated where needed to remove barriers to learning, enabling all pupils to fully participate and succeed.
